The security threat landscape has changed drastically over the last few years. The earlier forms of security attacks on the IT assets of an organization were in the form of viruses and worms. Over the years, we have seen blended attacks that use a mix of multiple technologies to attack the victim. There has been an increase in advanced persistent attacks, and targeted attacks that are written specifically for a particular organization.
