Sizing the campus network

The campus network has to be sized as per the user requirements. Typically, the users are connected to a VoIP phone, and the VoIP phone has an inbuilt switch that can be used to connect the desktop/laptop on a wired connection. Access points are also connected to the access switches for the uplink bandwidth.

The network has to be sized keeping in mind the services to be delivered on the network, the bandwidth requirements for each type of service, the number of users provisioned for these services, and the concurrency ratio of users.
