Virtualization

Virtualization is a revolutionary technology in the DC that allows the applications to run on virtual machines, rather than on physical servers. The virtualization management software keeps track of the virtual machine or the VM that runs a specific application and can bring up the same VM on another physical server if the original VM goes down. This abstracts the actual application from the underlying physical hardware and ensures that the application is up, even though the physical server where the application was running has gone down.
