Recall from the previous chapters that stacking switches provide a greater number of ports to connect with and the ease of having a single console to manage the element switches within the cluster. Similar to switch clustering, specific ASA firewalls provide the firewall clustering capability.
Clustering allows the network administrator to group multiple ASAs together and treat them like a single logical device from a management perspective while increasing the throughput and providing the redundancy due to multiple devices in the cluster.
