So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Performing Remote Administration with Telnet Server and Client
Windows Server 2012 UNIX Integration uses a single Telnet service to provide for Telnet functionality to both Windows and UNIX clients. This was a change over the way that it previously was, as two separate components were installed. This version of Windows Server 2012 Telnet Server supports NT LAN Manager (NTLM) authentication in addition to the basic logon that supports UNIX users.
To install the Telnet Server component follow these steps:
1. From Server Manager, click Manage – Add Roles and Features.
2. Click Next at the Before You Begin screen.
3. Choose a Role-Based or Feature-Based Installation and click Next.
