I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Host (A) Records
The most common type of RR in DNS is the host record, also known as an A record. This type of RR simply contains the name of the host and its corresponding IP address, as illustrated in Figure 10.4.

The vast majority of RRs in DNS are A records because they are used to identify the IP addresses of most resources within a domain.

Most resource records also contain advanced information about the record, which includes the TTL and, optionally, the record time stamp. To view or update this information, select Advanced from the View menu of the DNS Management console.
