It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Network Bandwidth Requirements
Each of the communications paths between OpsMgr components requires a certain minimum bandwidth to communicate properly.
Table 23.5 lists the communication bandwidth requirements between OpsMgr components.

The values given are minimum requirements, but actual requirements will be based on load factors as well. For example, although the minimum bandwidth for a gateway server to a management server is given as 64Kbps, the actual bandwidth requirements will depend on the number of agents that the gateway is supporting and the workloads on the agents.
