Launching the Hyper-V Administrative Console

There are (at least) two ways to open the Hyper-V administrative console and access the server’s configuration options. One way is to use the Server Manager console and launch the Hyper-V Manager from the Tools option, and the other option is to launch the Hyper-V Manager straight from the Administrative Tools of the host server.

Note

In earlier versions of Windows Server, the Server Manager provided the ability to run administrative functions from within the Server Manage console. With Windows 2012, the Server Manager allows systems to be centrally viewed and tools to be launched, but the actual administrative console for Hyper-V is the separate Hyper-V Manager tool.
