When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Management Pack Updates
Management pack updates are released periodically by Microsoft. The Operations console allows you to update installed MPs from the online catalog.
Note
Installing updates by definition changes the rules, alerts, and monitors that are deployed. This can have significant consequences on the alerts that are generated. Any updates should first be tested in a lab setting to ensure that there are no problems.
The online catalog should be checked for updates to the installed MPs on a monthly basis. To do this, complete the following steps:
1. Launch the Operations console.
2. Go to the Administration space.
3. Select the Management Packs node.
4. Right-click the Management Packs node and select Import Management Packs.
