Resource Monitor’s functionality remains unchanged from Windows Server 2008 R2, providing real-time data about the core components of your server: CPU, disk, network, and memory. This allows for monitoring health and performance, identifying utilization hogs, or making business decisions, including increasing or decreasing resources as needed, resuming or suspending activities, utilizing a server for additional roles, and setting up firewall rules based on network activities (see Figure 33.14).
