I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Examining WSUS Prerequisites
Deploying WSUS on a dedicated server is preferable, but it can also be deployed on a Windows Server 2012 server that is running other tasks, as long as that server is running IIS. The following list details the software requirement for WSUS:
• Internet Information Services (IIS)
• Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS)
• Windows Internal Database role or SQL Server 2005 (or later) installed locally or on a remote server
• Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 or later
