I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Understanding Windows Firewall Integration with Server Manager
The firewall with advanced security is fully integrated with the Server Manager utility and the Add Roles and Features Wizard. For example, if an administrator runs the Add Roles and Features Wizard and chooses to install file services, only then are those ports and protocols that are required for file server access opened on the server.

It is instinctual for most administrators to disable software firewalls on servers because they have caused problems with functionality in the past. This is not recommended in Windows Server 2012, however, because the product itself is tightly integrated with its firewall, and the firewall itself provides for a much greater degree of security ...
