I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Adding New Disks and Volumes to Windows
When a disk is added to a Windows Server 2012 system, the disk must first be brought online and initialized before it can be configured for use within the operating system. Windows Server 2012 can detect most new disk additions most disks without a reboot, but this, of course, depends on the disk and controller type. For example, if a new disk is added to a system with a RAID-compatible disk controller, it will not be detected or available to Windows until the new disk is configured using the RAID controller configuration utility.
