Windows Server 2012 systems running Server Core installations only contain the Windows Server Backup command-line and Windows PowerShell tools. For systems with the GUI installed, the Windows PowerShell cmdlets can also be used. The command-line backup tool used for this example is named wbadmin.exe and can be accessed using a command prompt window. The windows PowerShell cmdlets are accessed in the PowerShell windows. Both tools are very functional and can be used to perform most of the functions available in the GUI.
