So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Understanding the New IIS Manager Tools
The centerpiece of IIS 8 is the now familiar IIS Manager user interface. The updated user interface, which was introduced with IIS 7 and Windows Server 2008, is the primary tool used to manage IIS and ASP.NET, health and diagnostics, and security.
In addition to the GUI management console, IIS 8 can also be managed using a variety of command-line tools. First and foremost, the PowerShell provider included with IIS is a powerful tool for common management tasks as well as for automation requirements.
