I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Understanding File System Security
Windows Server 2012 introduced a new file system, ReFS, or Resilient File System. The file system is backward compatible with NTFS. In fact, because the focus of the updated file system is data integrity, scalability, reliability, and ease of management, security mechanisms are largely unchanged from the earlier version of the product.
Each object that is referenced in ReFS, which includes files and folders, is marked by an access control list (ACL) that physically limits who can and cannot access a resource. File and folder permissions utilize this concept to strictly control read, write, and other types of access on files.
