Most companies are much better at identifying their strengths or “core competencies
than they are at pointing out weaknesses. We’ve all been in these planning meetings
where we begin by reviewing our strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
Typically there is a much longer list of strengths than there are weaknesses, but
companies seem to be getting more realistic these days and are willing to acknowledge
