Luna Park was one of the world’s first amuse-
ment parks that operated in Coney Island
in New York City from 1903 to 1944. This
4.15-acre (1.68 ha) fantasyland of exotic spires,
towers, minarets, and domes with colorful
half-moons adorning its facades and entrances
looked like no other city in the world.
At night, it was transformed with more than
one million incandescent lightbulbs that out-
