So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Using AutoRecover to Recover Information from Damaged Files
By default, Word stores AutoRecover information about your document every 10 minutes. This AutoRecover information may help Word restore your files in the event your system crashes or there is a power failure. After such an event, the next time Word starts, it automatically attempts to recover text from files that were open when it crashed, using the contents of its AutoRecover files.
It's important to understand that AutoRecover information isn't a substitute for saving your file regularly; in fact, Microsoft has changed the name of this feature from Automatic Save to emphasize this.
