AutoNumLgl

The AutoNumLgL field automatically numbers paragraphs of text, using Word's legal numbering scheme (for example, "1.1.3").

Note

Most of the paragraph numbering you need to create can be handled more efficiently by clicking the Numbering button on the Standard toolbar, or by working in the Format, Bullets and Numbering dialog box. Moreover, the AUTONUMLGL field has largely been replaced by the more flexible LISTNUM field, also covered in this field reference.
