The SKIPIF field tells Word to skip the next record during a mail merge, but only if the conditions you specify are met.
Note
SKIPIF is an archaic field left over from Word 2. Microsoft recommends that you use Query Options instead, available as part of step 3 in the Mail Merge Helper.
If you must use SKIPIF, insert it as part of the mail merge process by choosing Skip Record If… from the Insert Word Field button on the Mail Merge toolbar.
