Performing a Custom Installation
When you click Install Now or Upgrade Now to install Word, Setup uses the following default options:
Program files go in a default location; you do not have an opportunity to specify a different location.
Setup removes your previous Word installation and replaces all installed programs, which migrates your personal settings and preferences to Word 2000.
Your current default browser is replaced with Internet Explorer 5.0. This option eliminates previous versions of Internet Explorer; however, it does not remove Netscape Navigator or other non-Microsoft browsers.
