The NOTEREF field inserts a reference to a bookmarked footnote or endnote. With NOTEREF, you can refer to a footnote elsewhere in the document, and your reference remains accurate even if you add or remove footnotes or endnotes.

Syntax

{ NOTEREF Bookmarkname [switches] }

Switches

Switch	What It Does
\f	Inserts reference mark with same character formatting as footnote reference mark or endnote reference mark.
\h	Creates a hyperlink to the footnote marked with the bookmark.
\p	Inserts the relative (above or below) position of the footnote.

Examples

To create a footnote reference, select the footnote reference mark in the document (not in the footnote pane). Create a bookmark (in this example, it is called peters). Then, insert the following ...
