Building Hyperlinks
As I mentioned earlier, hyperlinks are primarily composed of two parts: the display text (on which you actually click) and the network address or URL (Uniform Resource Locator, just fancy jargon for an Internet address).
Word offers several ways to build a hyperlink. Follow these steps to insert a hyperlink into a Word document.
In a blank Word document, type the following: More information can be found at Microsoft's Web site.
Use your mouse to select the words "Microsoft's Web site". This will be the display text for your hyperlink.
