Printing Your Outline

Occasionally, you might want a printed copy of your outline. For example, you might need approval for an outline before proceeding to draft your entire document.

To print an outline, first display your document in Outline view. Next, display the elements of your outline that you want to print. For example, specify how many levels of headings you want, and whether you want to collapse or expand any parts of your document. Finally, click the Print button on the Standard toolbar.
