So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

動作する Linuxを公開しました。CheerpX というx86 プログラムをWasm
で仮想化する技術により、x86のバイナリコードをリアルタイムにWasm
に変換して実行するJIT（Just In Compiler）によって DebianLinuxのバイナ
リをWebブラウザで実行します（図 12-11）。また、OSでいうところのシ
ステムコールをエミュレートするJavaScriptと協調して動作させること
で、ファイルアクセスの動作を実現しています。
WebVMは https://mini.webvm.io/ から実際にアクセスできますが、イン
ターネットの先にDebian Linuxのサーバーがあるのではなく、アクセス元
の端末のWeb ブラウザで直接実行されています。
2022 年 8 月に PostgreSQL の商用サービスを提供している Crunchy Data
社がPostgres playground という学習サイトの提供を開始していま
す。WebVM同様にPostgreSQL バイナリをWasm化することで、ブラウ
ザ上で PostgreSQLを動作させ、提供者側でリソースを用意することなく
オンデマンドでの学習を実現しています（図12-12）。
