Setting up the Pi Camera

The setup is done in steps 1-2. First, we will enable access to the camera hardware from the Raspberry Pi, and second, we will install the Python module to handle the camera:

1. First, we need to edit the /boot/config.txt file:

$ sudo nano /boot/config.txt

2. Then, we add these two lines at the end:

start_x=1gpu_mem=128

3. Alternatively, you can get the same result by adding these lines from the command line:

$ sudo bash -c "echo 'start_x=1' >> /boot/config.txt"$ sudo bash -c "echo 'gpu_mem=128' >> /boot/config.txt"

4. Next, install the Python module as follows:

$ sudo pip install picamera

5. To check that the camera works properly, create this Python script and name it captureFile.py (you can find it inside the piCamera ...
