Copying data to the server

Copying data to the GIS server is a method ArcGIS Server can use to make your data accessible to the server. Typically, most organizations do not want to copy data to the server, as it, of course, makes a copy of the data that is then disconnected from the source. However, there may be scenarios and workflows where you would want or need to copy data to the server when publishing. Some examples are as follows:
