Publishing a geoprocessing service is somewhat different than publishing other types of services. With a geoprocessing service, you publish the result of the geoprocessing model, tool, or script. To publish a geoprocessing service, do the following:
- In ArcCatalog or ArcMap, execute a successful run of your geoprocessing model, tool, or script.
- Go to the Geoprocessing menu, and select Results.
Results can be managed under Geoprocessing | Geoprocessing Options. Here, you can set the length of time to keep results under the Keep results younger than setting. The default is 2 weeks.
- Find the result of the run you just successfully completed. Right-click on the main task and select Share As ...
