Log level

Logging level is an important tool for diagnosing issues and debugging errors in ArcGIS Server. The default log level is Warning, which will log moderate to severe problems that require attention. Each level includes all levels above it in its messaging. The following table describes the different logging levels available in ArcGIS Server and gives examples of the items logged by each:

Log Level

Description

Severe

Serious problems that require immediate attention. Includes only severe messages.

Warning

Moderate problems that require attention. Includes severe messages.

Info

Common administrative messages of the server, such as service creation and startup. Includes severe and warning messages.

Fine
