Log retention time
Log retention time, or the number of days that logs are kept on disk, is another important log setting in ArcGIS Server. By default, logs are retained on disk for 90 days. When a log file becomes older than 90 days, it is deleted by ArcGIS Server. Your organization may have standard operating procedures (SOPs) in place that determine the lifespan of your logs; consult with your systems administrator if you are unsure of how long your organization may want to keep the ArcGIS Server logs for auditing purposes.
