Developing and applying a clean, consistent, and standardized nomenclature as early as possible for your ArcGIS Server services will lead to a tidy environment that is easy to navigate and maintain. I've done quite a few ArcGIS Server (now Enterprise) upgrades over the years, and one thing that can make the migration of services from the old environment to the new go smoothly is standardized ArcGIS Server folder and service names that match the operating system folder and source MXD files names exactly.
