Using and managing ArcGIS Server logs

ArcGIS Server is constantly recording events that occur, along with any errors associated with those events, to log files. Logs are crucial to troubleshooting errors with your site and provide a history of events that occur over time. A wide range of events are recorded in the logs, including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Installation and upgrade events
  • Service publication
  • Data store registration
  • Site management events such as adding or removing servers or modifying the config store
  • Security events
  • Service events such as starting and stopping and layer draw times

To access the logs in ArcGIS Server Manager, go to Logs | View Logs.
