Feature services

Feature services provide the same capabilities as map services, with the added ability to serve out features and the symbology to use for displaying them along with the ability to edit those features over the internet. Feature editing templates can be utilized to enhance the editing experience. Related data and non-spatial tables can be edited over a feature service.

Feature services can only be published from data stored in an Enterprise geodatabase and can only be edited over the web with a GIS Server Advanced or GIS Server Standard license. Feature services can be created to query only with a GIS Server Basic license.
