Adding built-in users in bulk

The CreateUsers tool, which can be found at <Portal installation directory>\tools\accountmanagement, allows you to add built-in or enterprise accounts to your portal in bulk from an input text file.

This tool can only be executed by a built-in administrator-level account on the Portal for ArcGIS machine. An enterprise identity store administrator account cannot be used.

The first step in this process is to create the text file of user accounts, which must follow this format:

   <account>|<password>|<email address>|<name>|<role>|<description>|    <first name>|<last name>|<level>
