If you've worked with ArcGIS Server since the 9.x days, it's hard to argue that printing has come a long way. That said, however, the out-of-the-box print functionality in Portal is quite lackluster. Never fear though, as this is easy to change. We can quickly configure a custom print service in using our own templates and consume that service in Portal as our default print service. Before we do that, let's take a look at the default print service that comes with Portal.
Go to Utility Services in Portal settings and look for Printing, which is at the top of the list. If you have not set this to use another print service, it will be set to Default. This is the default Portal print service that will print the MAP_ONLY view of the web ...
