To enable style checking, choose Tools, Options, and select the Check Style box on the
Spelling and Style tab. PowerPoint warns you that it uses the old Office Assistant for style
checking. (You cannot continue without enabling old Clippit!)
With style checking turned on, PowerPoint displays a light bulb next to parts of a presenta-
tion that clash with one of its style rules. To see more details, click the light bulb. The
Office Assistant character appears, and offers to correct the mistake, ignore it, or let you
