Assistive technologies, such as screen readers and magnifiers, are technologies that read websites and translate them, usually for people who are blind, partially sighted, dyslexic or illiterate; for example, screen readers provide output via text to speech synthesizers or Braille displays. There are many good screen readers, such as NonVisual Desktop Access (NVDA), which is an excellent open source option. Most operating systems have built-in screen readers, for example, Microsoft Narrator, VoiceOver for Apple, and TalkBack for Android.
