I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Planning research methods and logistics
Once you have decided on a problem statement and explored the prior knowledge available to you, you have enough information to plan the research for what you do not know. There are several steps here:
- Plan how to test your problem statement practically. Choose metrics to answer it.
- Choose one or more research methods that will allow you to gather the data and measure the metrics.
- Plan research logistics and create checklists.
- Do a pilot test if appropriate.
We will discuss each of these following steps, using our clothing e-commerce example. The problem statement from our example is:
