It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

僕たちのたくらみ
さっそく片瀬と社内勉強会の企画、準備を始めた。僕たちの会社には大きめの
会議室がいくつかある。日中はほぼ埋まって使えないが、業務時間後であれば使
える日もある。事を始めるにあたって、まず大きめの会議室を確保した。
日程はちょうど1カ月先。内容は、二人が参加したイベントの報告と、僕がこ
の半年取り組んできたことの紹介とした。
なお、僕は大勢の人の前でプレゼンするなんて、やったことがない。イベント
で話している人たちみたいに自分が人前で話すなんて、ぞっとする。
まずは、イベントの報告のほうを片瀬に押し付けて、僕は僕の話を組み立てる
ことに集中した。話すのは下手くそでも、書いたものを読むことはできるだろう。
プレゼンはもう何とかなると考えることにして、問題はそれよりも他にあった。
参加者を集めることだ。
当然、会社のSNSで告知はするが、そんな集まりに業務を終えてからわざわ
ざ来ようとする人なんているのか、不安を拭えなかった。しかも、僕の話をわざ
わざ？ 聞きに来るなんて？
僕の不安は、片瀬に大いに伝わっていたらしい。片瀬が作戦を考えてくれた。
「外の人を呼びましょうか」
なるほど。確かに、社内の名も知れない若造で人を集めるよりは効果がありそ
うだ。社外の著名な人を呼ぶ。そんな人来てくれるのか……？ 一体誰を？
「石神さんですよ」
片瀬は造作もなく言ってのけた。
「そ、そんなの。呼べるわけないだろう ...
