すが、やはりリレーショナルデータベース（RDB）をメインのデータ
ベースとして使用することが多いのではないでしょうか。ここでは
RDBに対するデータベースアクセスを前提として話を進めます。
データベースアクセス技術の選定
データベースアクセス処理の実装技術には、プログラミング言語の標
準ライブラリ、フレームワークが提供する機能、データベースアクセス
に特化したライブラリの採用など多くの選択肢があります。アーキテク
トは、アプリケーションの処理特性や開発容易性など様々な観点から評
価を行い、採用する技術を選定します。
第2 章で紹介した、ドメイン層で適用可能なアーキテクチャパターン

と相性のよいデータベースアクセス技術もあるので、それも考慮に入れ
るとよいでしょう。たとえば、トランザクションスクリプトパターンに
はシンプルにSQLを書けるライブラリが、ドメインモデルパターンに
はO/Rマッパーが向いています。
O/Rマッパー
O/Rマッパー（Object-Relational Mapper）とは、オブジェクト指
向プログラミング言語を採用した場合にメモリ上に構築されるオブジェ
クトモデルと、リレーショナルデータベースにテーブル構造で格納され
るデータとの橋渡しをする技術やツールを指します。図4.4.11 に O/R
マッパーの例をいくつか記載します。
