I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
ENVELOPE GENERATOR
The timbre gate, when broken down into a block diagram, can be illustrated as shown in Fig. 25.5. It consists of a voltage-controlled amplifier with an audio input and two audio outputs. An envelope generator with adjustable rise, on, and fall times generates the control voltage for the VCA.

The envelope generator can be triggered manually or automatically to generate an envelope. The automatic triggering unit furnishes pulses that initiate the envelope. (Sometimes this type of pulse control system is referred to as a clock or a timer circuit). ...
