Preparing for testing

Once the automated testing tools have been identified, we can prepare for testing. In this phase, different activities are performed, such as preparing and setting up a testing environment; guidelines are prepared for test script creation; guidelines are prepared for the test data based on the modules developed; and finally, guidelines are set up for defect logging and reporting. Responsible teams start preparing test cases based on the features or the module of the new system.
