Functional requirements
Once we have the business requirement, which gives us a high-level idea of the proposed system, another requirement category (known as a functional requirement) comes into the picture. These requirements come from the end users or business users who actually use the system in their day-to-day jobs, so these requirements are basically about how the system will function. It describes what the main functions are that can be performed using the proposed system, what the capabilities of the new system will be, how it will behave when specific data is entered into the system, and so on.
