So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

目的：あるアクションを実行していることを確認する
体験が途中でハングアップしたり、アクションの実行中に遅延が発生した場合、そ
の待ち時間が無駄ではないことをユーザーに伝えるのが礼儀だ。ヘルプカウンターの
人が「奥から持ってきますので、少々お待ちください」と言うのと同じように、デジ
タルの体験においては遷移テキストを使うことで、「リクエストを受け取ったのでし
ばらくお待ちください」と伝えることができる。
一般的に、遷移テキストはユーザーから追加の行動（タップ）は必要としないはず
だ。アクションが進行中の場合は、「アップロード中」「送信中」のように動詞の現在
進行形を用いる。省略して簡潔に書くことで、遅延が短いという印象を与えることが
できる。
例えば、チョウザメ倶楽部で支払い方法を更新した後、更新している途中であるこ
とを表すメッセージがオーバーレイで表示される（図4-22）。このメッセージが表示
されることで、会員が自分で操作すべきことは完了し、あとは待つだけでいいという
安心感を得ることができる。また、処理が完了する前に誤って古い支払い情報を使っ
てしまうことも防ぐことができる。
