仮想化プラットフォームを使ったサンドボックス
ローカルなインフラ開発環境を作ることが難しい場合や、本物のインフラストラクチャプラット
フォームを十分に表現できない場合がある。たとえば、チームのインフラストラクチャがクラウドプ
ラットフォームから提供されるサービスを多用しており、ローカル VMでそれらを真似たりモックを
作ったりするのが大変な場合などだ。
そのようなときには、メインインフラストラクチャプラットフォームでサンドボックス環境を実行す
ることができる。Vagrantのようなものを使ってローカルでインフラストラクチャを作るのではなく、
クラウドに関連するインフラストラクチャのコピーを作り上げるのである。図 13-3 は、このフローを示
している。チームメンバーはローカルでインフラストラクチャ定義を編集し、テスト、本番環境の管理
のために使っているものと同じツール、スクリプト、定義を使ってホステッドサンドボックス環境に適
用する。変更の動作に満足したら、VCSに変更をコミットし、VCSがパイプラインをトリガリングし
て変更をロールアウトする。
