So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

セルフサービス
セルフサービスは、インフラストラクチャプラットフォームのオンデマンド要件にさらに要件を積み
重ねるものである。インフラの利用者がリソースをすぐに使えるようになるだけではなく、自分の要件
に基づいてリソースを調整、カスタマイズできなければならないのである。
これは、従来のアプローチとは対照的だ。かつては、中央のあるチーム（またはチームの集まり）が
インフラを必要とするチームのためにソリューションを設計していた。新しいウェブサーバーを作ると
いったごくありふれた要求でも、細かい要求フォーム、設計 / 仕様文書、実装プランを用意しなければ
ならなかった。
まるで LEGOのブロックを買おうとしているのに、店員がブロックの組み立て方を決めてしまうよう
なものだった。これでは、インフラを要求する側のチームは、自分たちで使うインフラの管轄権や、自
分のニーズに合わせてインフラに形を与え、少しずつ改良していく方法を学ぶ機会を奪われてしまう。
クラウドの登場とともに、セルフサービスリソースを提供するようになったインフラチームもある
