So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

クリプト化すればよいだろう。
ただ、この種のツールに付属しているスクリプト言語には、時間とともに複雑な化物になる危険があ
る。ツールのスクリプト言語は、ごく小さなスクリプトを想定して設計されているので、再利用可能で
共有可能なモジュールのように大きなコードベースをクリーンに管理するための機能がない。サーバー
構成ツールはリモートコマンドツールよりも大きなコードベースをサポートするように設計されている
ので、そちらの方が適している。

汎用スクリプト言語
サーバー構成専用ツールが便利だからと言って、汎用スクリプト言語の出番がないわけでは
ない。私が知っているインフラチームはすべて、カスタムスクリプトが必要になった。さまざ
まなサーバーの情報をスクレイプして、どれが特定のパッチを必要とするかを調べるスクリプ
トのように、ちょっとしたロジックを必要とする臨時タスクは常にある。ツール、ユーティリ
ティや標準ツールのプラグイン、エクステンションで、このような用途で役に立つものはほと
んどない。
