I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Why are legacy applications used?
While there may be challenges to using legacy applications, enterprises continue to use them for a variety of reasons. If they remain useful and still work as intended, an organization may see no reason to stop using them. In addition, the cost of replacing a legacy system may not outweigh the benefits. For example, the difficulties and cost of replacing a system that requires almost constant availability may be prohibitively high. Replacement of a large and complicated system can be a long and difficult process.
