Getting others to follow you

A major component of being a good leader is how well you influence others in a positive way. Your actions, words, and overall attitude will influence others and it is your job as a leader to inspire your team to take positive and productive action.

How do you get others to follow you? Leaders have certain qualities that inspire others to follow them. You should work to earn respect and gain credibility among your colleagues. If you consistently deliver high-quality work, can be depended on, and are always there to help others, you will begin to earn respect and credibility. Conducting yourself with integrity will, over time, help to build trust between you and your fellow employees.
